My Favorite Fall Workout Gear Is on Sale

My Favorite Fall Workout Gear Is on Sale

I love starting my morning with a workout. It forces me to get out of bed, sets a positive tone for the rest of the day and, ideally, allows me to breathe fresh air before I sit in front of a computer for eight consecutive hours. In fact, I love it so much that rarely a day goes by that you won’t find me walking my dog, walking to a workout class or simply walking around for the heck of it.

Now that fall is almost here, bringing chilly temperatures with it, I wanted to share some of my favorite autumn workout essentials. From the Beyond Yoga pullover I practically live in to the Brooks sneakers that are $40 off right now, these are the tried-and-true pieces that I swear by as the seasons change. Oh, and did I mention that everything is on sale?

Beyond Yoga Stretch Woven In Stride Half-Zip Pullover

Beyond yoga

This Beyond Yoga pullover is the perfect transitional layer. I wore it in the spring when the weather was still a little chilly. It’s accompanied me on many a walk this summer to protect my skin from the sun. And it’s bound to be a staple this coming fall as the wind picks up and the leaves fall down. I’m even wearing it right now, which should give you some indication of how often it graces my body. I love that it’s boxy but has an elastic waist and cuffs for structure. Whether I’m walking, lounging or playing tennis, Beyond Yoga’s pullover can’t be beat.

Vuori Long-Sleeve Textured Chill Out Top

Vuori Clothing

Every time I wear this Vuori shirt—and I wear it a lot—I get a ton of compliments. I typically go for black workout gear because the color is easy to keep clean and match with shoes, but I made an exception for this stylish top. The pattern is striking and the corset-like stitching is flattering, all without being uncomfortable. I, unfortunately, bought mine at full price, but you can get yours for less than $70 right now.

Vuori Helix Seamless Legging

Vuori Clothing

Vuori’s Helix leggings don’t have any seams—and shoppers adore that. “Not only does the material hug my form, but it keeps me warm when I’m outside. I love them and can’t wait to buy my next pair,” wrote one happy reviewer. If that doesn’t convince you to buy this pair, another said: “For all of the seamless girlies, these are a must. They’re comfortable, keep their shape, have great compression and can also be utilized for high-impact workouts.”

Brooks Ghost Max 2 Running Shoes

Brooks running

Brooks’ Ghost Max 2 sneaker has already sold out in two colors, and it’s on its way to selling out in the rest. The line is an EatingWell editor-favorite walking shoe for its “comfort, cushion and support” that somehow manages not to feel cumbersome. With its extra padding, the Ghost Max is even more comfortable.

Lululemon Wunder Train High-Rise Tight

Lululemon

Lululemon’s Wunder Train High-Rise Tights have over 5,600 five-star ratings for a reason. Shoppers who buy one pair typically go back for another once they experience how the “soft and stretchy” fabric fits over their legs. One reviewer even wrote that it “feels like a second skin.” While I typically don’t wear these tights during a run (because I like to slip my phone inside a pocket), they’re the perfect style for a long walk in cold weather.

Set Active Lightweight Sweats Classic Hoodie

Setactive

For leisurely walks on chilly mornings, I like to pull out this Set Active sweatshirt. It’s lightweight, extremely cozy and has gotten softer the more I’ve worn and washed it. I’m also a fan of the brand’s Airluxe Breathe Shorts. They’re stretchy and don’t ride up during tough workouts, which are two of the most important features in a bike short.

Lululemon It’s Rulu Ribbed Cropped Half-Zip

Lululemon

Lululemon’s cropped half-zip pullover is my favorite fall running companion. It’s warmer than the brand’s Swiftly Tech shirt—which I also love—but not so thick that I get uncomfortably hot. I also appreciate that the brand added thumbholes to keep the sleeves from riding up and my hands from getting cold.

The North Face Terra Peak Vest

The North Face

This is an updated version of the vest I’ve owned since before I started high school over a decade ago. Despite the fact that mine is shedding feathers and riddled with holes, it still has pride of place in my closet. I simply can’t bring myself to replace it—it keeps me warm without weighing me down and it’s the perfect combination of snug and roomy. But now that I see this packable version not only exists but is also on sale, it might be time for me to make the switch. Unlike mine, this one could actually fit in my suitcase
