Check your sanitizing and cleansing products immediately, and if they match the recalled information, dispose of them or return to your place of purchase for a refund. These products may contain Burkholderia cepacia complex, which can cause symptoms of fever, fatigue and serious infection, especially for immunocompromised individuals.
The bacteria could also cause local infections when applied to vulnerable areas, such as skin lesions. If you are showing signs of illness or infection after using a recalled topical treatment, contact a healthcare provider as soon as possible.
