FDA Announces Recall on Over 20,000 Cans of 7Up

  • FDA recalls 7Up Zero Sugar Tropical Soda for being mislabeled full-sugar soda.
  • The affected cans were sold in 12-packs in Alabama, Florida and Georgia.
  • This was just classified as a Class II recall, meaning it may cause reversible health effects.

The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) just announced a recall on a specific flavor of 7Up Zero Sugar. This is because the affected products are a mislabeled full-sugar soda.

The soda impacted by this recall are 12-fluid-ounce cans of 7Up Zero Sugar Tropical Soda sold in 12-packs at retail locations in three states: Alabama, Florida and Georgia. The recalled sodas contain a UPC of 078000037975 on each can as well as a UPC of 078000037982 on the 12-pack cardboard cartons. They also contain lot codes “XXXXBR062156” and “XXXXBR062256” alongside a use-by date of March 23, 2026.

While this recall only affects 1,954 cases, still check your soda for these codes. If you have 7Up that matches the above information, return them to your place of purchase for a potential refund.

The FDA has classified this recall as a Class II, meaning that the soda “may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.” Contact a healthcare provider with any health concerns after consuming this recalled beverage.
