Le Creuset is one of my favorite kitchen brands. Its heirloom pieces, whether Dutch ovens or heritage bakeware, are equally as chic as they are useful. One of their appeals is their colors, and Le Creuset has always been known for its inspired hues; some of my favorites being olive, artichaut, thyme and licorice. Since I’m always keeping tabs on the brand for work, I’ve become pretty good at identifying which colors are mainstays and which are newer—and probably won’t be around for long.Â
When I discovered that Le Creuset is discontinuing Caribbean, I was genuinely shocked (you can ask my coworkers!). The Caribbean color is a bright ocean-blue shade that has been around for as long as I can remember. Regardless of the exact runtime, many fans were quite shocked that Le Creuset is discontinuing such a classic shade. It’s a bittersweet ending, but fortunately for us, all of the Caribbean-colored pieces have been discounted. Â

Craft Series Basting Brush
Le Creuset
I couldn’t go a week without a basting brush. I use basting brushes to smooth egg wash onto pies, marinades and oil onto proteins and more. It’s one of those kitchen tools you rarely ever think about, but use frequently. It features a heat-safe silicone top, making it ideal for a variety of multipurpose uses.Â
Signature Round Dutch Oven
Le Creuset
You can’t get more classic than a Le Creuset Dutch oven. They’re useful for so many kitchen tasks, such as sauces, soups, breads, jams and roasts, making it a real powerhouse. I have owned and used one for two whole decades. It has minimal damage despite consistent use, which never ceases to amaze me because of how old it is.Â
Signature Skillet
Le Creuset
Another kitchen must-have is a cast-iron skillet. These make quick work of one-pan dinners, casseroles, desserts and baked goods. This version has the pop of blue on the handles and exterior, while the inside of the skillet is finished with a textured matte black enameled finish.Â
Rectangular Dish with Platter Lid
Le Creuset
This genius baking dish has a two-in-one design that is so useful for summer hosting. I’m already picturing the dish filled with fresh local clams—the platter lid is perfect for shells—it also works well for baked goods. Alternatively, you can use the dish for desserts like brownies and blondies, then serve them up on the platter lid.Â
Bread Oven
Le Creuset
The Le Creuset bread oven is a coveted piece among fans. Designed specifically for artisan-style loaves, the flat base and domed lid encourage the perfect environment for crusty bakes. This bread oven is just as beautiful as it is a kitchen powerhouse.Â
Heritage Butter Dish
Le Creuset
A butter dish is a kitchen essential for me. Gone are the days when I’m spreading cold, hard butter onto my toast. Stunning yet functional, mornings will be made so much easier.Â
Heritage Rectangular Casserole
Le Creuset
For a classic piece of cookware, check out this baking dish. It includes a deep 13 by 9-inch base with a domed lid. Use it for healthy casseroles, roasted chicken, sheet cakes and more. No matter what you bake in it, it’ll be the centerpiece of your meal.Â
Signature Round Wide Oven
Le Creuset
This wide oven offers more surface area. Its shallow walls and broad base ensure there’s plenty of room for searing and sauteing, so it’s a great option for stews, braises and soups. It has a 3.5-quart capacity, so it won’t be too clunky to store.Â
Signature Oval Dutch Oven
Le Creuset
If you love to cook oblong proteins like poultry, racks of lamb and other cuts, an oval Dutch oven could be the perfect choice for you. The longer shape ensures enough breathing room for any main you decide to bake in it. Plus, it can easily bake oval-shaped bread..Â
